Review/Comparison: Sigma F80 Air Flat Kabuki

Hey hey hey!!!! It has been a long time.  I know, I know, not just a long time but VEEERRRYYY long time.  I haven't been blogging because work has been "clingy" and kids are getting big and you know, as (Filipino) parent, we need more time on them especially with school and other matters that has to do with growing up......I already have a teenager, by the way.  So now that Philippines is on Enhanced Community Quarantine, I plan to catch up on (a lot) of posts and reviews.

Today,  April 1, 2020, marks the 3rd week of staying at home due to COVID-19.  I hope that this "unseen enemy" will leave or I hope that scientists and researchers have already found a cure.  It's sad to see posts on social media that some of our soldiers (frontliners) in the hospitals have fallen fighting this enemy and helping the affected.

So anyway,  I am here to review and make comparison on Sigma's F80 Flat Kabuki and Sigma's F80 Air Flat Kabuki.  I posted on my instagram page that there will a blog soon, but.......sorry!  Took a long time to write this.  I bought the Sigma F80 Kabuki brush on a set last 2012 because I wanted to be a "makeup enthusiast".  I love Sigma, they are expensive but they last long.  Plus, of all the brushes, flat top kabuki is my top favorite.  So when Sigma released their F80 Air Flat Kabuki, I decided to get one and see the difference between the old one.

And so i bought it,

The packaging is different. It used to be in a paper box. The label on the ferule and handle differs too.

The brush differs from the old one. It's like a stippling brush that is way denser than the stippling brush (if that made sense 😁)

Below are comparisons of the two brushes:

here's the F80 Kabuki
and here's the F80 Airflat Kabuki

So here are my thoughts.  As you see, the (older) F80 is denser than the new one.  The air flat is best used when stippled whereas, the F80 is best used on both (stippled and drag/swipe on).  The air flat gives more streak on the face compared to the F80 Kabuki.  When using the air flat, I had to use a sponge to removes the streaks on my face.

Overall, they are both adorable and useful.  Still, no regrets in buying this product.

I hope you liked this post and I hope this help you in some way.  Stay safe and be at home.  Praying for our frontliners and our country and don't forget to stay happy  ÜÜÜ
